As a communications staff member at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I was trusted with communications and marketing for my department and its division. I worked closely with executives such as the Dean of Students, Associate and Assistant Vice Chancellors and Directors, as well as faculty and staff to help further the campus' creative and marketing efforts while utilizing university's brand standards. This work reaches not only 30,000+ on campus, but also prospective students and their families, alumni, donors and countless others across the country. Here are some examples of websites, photography and print campaigns I have worked on for UTK.

In December 2016, Chef Winter Hose approached me about helping him to create a logo for his upcoming food truck/bus, Burrito. His background in California and with Mexican food inspired his food and this logo which borrows the "sugar skulls" from Mexican culture. From the logo, I worked with him to create images for the bus, then a website, business cards and social media outlets. In it's first few months, Burrito is killing it and bellies are full. Catch the bus here.
Created in 2000, Defender Prints has been the moniker of my freelance work. Originally started as a custom screen printing and design business/side project, it grew into an effort that primarily helped to support the creative culture in Knoxville, Tennessee. Displayed here are poster designs, album art, and various materials. All were hand printed by myself unless otherwise noted.

The Tennessee Association of Vintage Base ball was established in 2012 to entertain and educate our communities by recreating the civility of 19th century base ball. They promote living history by bringing the 19th century to life through base ball events that use the rules, equipment, costumes and culture of the 1860s. I began playing with a Knoxville team in 2015. I also serve as a graphic designer with the association, providing promotional materials for events via social media and print campaigns. Our campaigns have reached 1000s of people in the state of Tennessee.
